Weekly Training Post: Week 18 2018

This week was full of ups and downs, I feel like I’m ready for race day but do need a little more running work. This week I was able to get a couple of runs done, not the three I was aiming for but even two with my schedule of late is an accomplishment in itself. The strength sessions had a little more variety in them this week as I replaced one of them with two days of spring yard work. The net results will be about the same and will actually probably translate to the heavy carries more practically.

 

Into the taper week, so the goal is a couple of short tempo runs and a couple of hard strength sessions to start the week, then easing off into the later stages of the week. That’s it I’ll post later this week to go over how the taper went and to preview X Warrior Challenge Stadium Sprint.

 

Workout song of the week has been my anthem for this training block, Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragons.
