Weekly Training Post: Week 15 2018

This was a better week still not ideal but still better. As per usual the strength sessions felt good despite the increase in weight and reps. The part I’m happy about this week was finally getting a long run in, it didn’t feel awful which I was expecting have missed so many runs lately. It was about the pace I’m working on holding during races maybe a touch slower, but when you’ve actually run as little as I have lately you have to expect less than perfect results.

 

The plan for this week is to take full advantage of the possible end to winter and get outside for all my training runs. I feel like strength wise I’m ready for X Warrior in 3 and half weeks but not so much in my running, so time to get the cardio up quite a bit.

 

X Warrior has given an extension for new racers signing up to get in on the team swag so sign up as there can’t be many spots left and join the “The 4-0-300 Army” to get your name in for some freebies.

 

Workout song of the week this round is going country getting ready for racing at the Stampede Grounds in 3 weeks (man that’s creeping up quick). This is one my strength training tracks when thinking of this race coming up specifically.
